In this assignment, I chose to do a still life image, by making and setting up a paper airplane. I chose this category because I wanted to set up and orchestrate an image to a higher quality. Aperture - f/5.6 Shutter Speed - 1/15 ISO - 100 Summary - During this assignment, I learned how to position elements in a photo, and to frame the subject to create a higher quality photo

The objective of this assignment was to touch up and recolor a car in photoshop. Here's the original image before the touch up: And here's the photo after the touch up: Then, we were given the choice to alter the image how we pleased. This project helped me maneuver and learn photoshop on a deeper level. I learned how to trace and invert an images borders to alter it, color the images, and darken the colors already present.
For my second photo assignment, I chose architecture as my photo category. I chose this so I could show the intricacies of building, and the massive scale that we sometimes seem to overlook. Aperture - f/6.3 Shutter Speed - 1/800 ISO - 100 I took this image into photoshop to brighten the shadows of the walls. Summary - During the course of this assignment, I learned that taking vertical shots aiming upwards can be difficult, because managing the ISO, shutter speed, and aperture can conflict with the brightness of the sun.
In this assignment, we were instructed to use an image of ourselves, and edit it in photoshop for an "Andy Warhol type aesthetic". From this assignment, I learned how to use photoshop in more detail, and how to alter an images color and position. I enjoyed this assignment and I'm sure in the near future these techniques will be beneficial.
As my second shooting assignment, I will be doing architecture as my category. I chose this because I want to capture the wonders of man made structures in a photo.
I am using these photos as inspiration: In this assignment, we were directed to take photos using a handful of categories. I chose macro, or "Photography CLOSE UP." Macro photos consist of a subject in which its detail is so enhanced that you can see it almost microscopically. Aperture - f/7.1 Shutter Speed - 1/125 ISO - 100 Summary - During this assignment, I learned that it can be difficult to set up a photo to perfectly balance the light, the dark, and the color. The photos that I took were decent quality, and all followed the macro category.
For the photo 1 shooting assignment, I am going to use macro as my subject. I want to take a quality photo that shows tiny features in the subject.
Some examples I used as inspiration: Andrew JK Tan https://www.nikon.com.au/en_AU/nikon_school/nikon_school_article?lang=&ID=templatedata/en_Asia/taggable_content/data/learn_and_explore/D850-Focus-Stacking&Category=learn-and-explore-new&Section= I chose these photos as inspiration because I liked the composition of the images, and they were high quality, showing even the tiniest details on a subject. Aperture - In these photos, I was attempting to use a range of apertures to show the depth of field from the cabinet to the back wall. These images have apertures of 3.5, 5.0, 6.3, and 8.0 Shutter Speed - In these images, I was attempting to show the motion of the pencil rolling by freezing the movement, adjusting the shutter speed accordingly. These images have shutter speeds of 1/13, 1/20, 1/40, and 1/80
The objective of this assignment was to show basic understanding of composition elements in digital photography. These 11 composition elements we studied and photographed have been used for decades, to enhance the composition of the photo. This assignment was quite the hassle, seeing that we were using just the school as a subject. The assignment was not bad, but if more time was provided, then it would be much easier. Some of the composition elements were harder than others, for example the framing element was quite difficult, because not only did I need a subject/ background, I also needed the actual frame of the photo. All in all, this assignment was very fun.
